I make paintings and prints of domestic objects such as rusty enamel jugs, garden tools and birds, which are usually life-size. Deborah Bowness has been designing & making bespoke, handprinted wallpapers since 1999. The Print Room was established to facilitate the production of a unique collection of wallpapers. Like the wallpapers this is not a conventional print room. Deborah has a reputation for creating haphazard experimental surface design which actively looks to avoid conventional techniques.

Emily Johns studied geography at Durham and immediately afterwards studied fine art at Goldsmiths because pictures seemed to be the right medium in which to think about geography.
