The Cultural Box

Our aim is to deliver a little box full of gerat local art and more!

Our vision is to help build strong local communities by supporting creative people, places and events and encouraging the next generation to do the same.

Launching in 2022 the Cultural Box for Hastings & 1066 Country will be our first monthly subscription box promoting 6-8 local artists each month.

The Gift Shop will be our online e-commerce store – offering art at all prices.

We want to provide financial support to artists both individually and collectively. We will establish the Cultural Box Impact Fund – a registered charity – to campaign on issues that affect the creative community (affordable live/work spaces, creative education & training) and distribute funding support (some of which will come from the income of the Cultural Box)

Over the course of 2022 we will launch Cultural Boxes for Brighton & Hove, Eastbourne & the Weald, Lewes & the Havens.

We would love to hear from:
1 – creative people – especially visual artists – who would like to be included in the Cultural Box
2 – creatives places – art galleries, museums, cultural attractions, venues – who are interested in partnership working with us
3 – creative events & organisers – whether a one day event or a month long – to see how we can support & promote what you do
4 – people who would like to help us support the creative community in our local communities
