Georgina Cook Photography
I am a documentary photographer and artist whose work is rooted in community, heritage, environment and identity. Taking time to understand her subject, I work intuitively with the environment and available light.
Starting out as a newspaper photographer 20+ years ago, I now work across Sussex, London and the UK specialising in editorial, event and commercial photography for creatives, brands, publications and education providers.
I have published two editions of my book Drumz Of The South: The Dubstep Years and regularly speak and lecture with institutions such as the V&A. I produce and leads workshops, lectures and talks on photography and culture with arts organisations and colleges.
In 2021, I co-founded Picnic, a photobook library and community space in St Leonards-on-Sea. I am also a member of the Babes in Arms art collective.
As an artist, my practice encompasses installation, performance art, textiles and video.
