Desi Fontaine Photography

I’m Desi Fontaine and I have a lifetime career working in photography and a love for my craft. From my studio in Fairlight, I work as a portrait photographer, photography tutor and photography mentor.

I’m always keen to improve the knowledge, technique and lighting for amateur, semi-professional and professional photographers. I run small group classes and 1:1 private tuition including portfolio reviews.

I have been lucky enough to photograph and tutor all over the world. My Fine Art travel collection of images taken with both film and digitally is available to see at my studio. Also, my Time Zero Collection, images taken on vintage Polaroid cameras and then hand manipulated to blur the boundaries of film with a painterly look, echoing works of the Impressionists with a contemporary twist.

I’m an Honorary Fellow of the Master Photographers Association, a Fellow of the Societies of Photographers and a UK and International Photographic Judge. I have won six Kodak European Gold Awards during my career.
