Coastal Currents 2011, a month-long celebration of visual arts, performance and events by emerging and established artists across the UK and world wide.
Focused within the recognised cultural hub of Hastings & St Leonards, Coastal Currents festival has steadily grown to become one of the largest arts festivals in the South East. Offering a wide range of exhibitions, performances, talks, workshops and events aimed at the local community, visitors and artists. As well as the popular open studios programme, which involves over a hundred artists in beach huts, studios, houses and gardens from West St Leonards across to neighbouring Rother area.

Get Involved

There are several ways you can get involved; submit a proposal to our open submission competition SPOTLIGHT:OPEN, take part in the popular Open Studios programme, register an event or exhibition during September for inclusion in the festival brochure or just simply lend a hand.
